DS Autonoleggio started in 2023 out of a simple idea and a great deal of determination: anyone arriving in Lamezia wants the keys in hand within ten minutes, not a form to sign in triplicate and a deposit frozen on their card. We started small, with two small cars and one van. The fleet has grown one car at a time since, and the way we work is still the way it was on the first day.
Two small cars and one van: that is what we began with. No capital behind us and no network of branches, only the idea that Lamezia needed a rental company that answers the phone and tells you how things are. People who tried us came back, and sent someone else. That is how today's fleet grew.
We stripped out every line that usually surfaces at the counter. If something costs money it appears in the quote before you hand over a single personal detail. And we hold no deposits: nothing is frozen on your card, at booking or at handover. It is the difference customers notice first, because almost everywhere else works the other way round.
The office keeps its hours, but handovers and returns are arranged at any time: land at six in the morning or leave at midnight and the car is still there. On the phone and on WhatsApp you get the same people who hand you the keys — there is no complaints department, because problems get solved while you are still on the line.
2023
The business starts with three vehicles and a bet: that transparency is worth more than an aggressive price list. The first customers come by word of mouth, which is still the main channel.
2024
In February the operating base opens at the ENI station by the airport roundabout. It is the spot anyone arriving by plane or train reaches in minutes, and the address you can give on the phone without explaining the way.
2025
The fleet grows upward: 208, 2008, 3008, 5008 and the Fiat 600, all automatic. It was the request that came most often from visitors who no longer drive a manual.
Today
From the Panda to the nine-seater, with unlimited mileage across Calabria and no deposit to freeze. The road is still short: we grow one car at a time, the way we began.
